The Commissioners set a rate of 10.50p in the £.

The Clerk reminded Commissioners of the need to declare interests in any relevant matters.

Mr C D Boughton was re-appointed as Chairman; Mr M G Wakeham was re-appointed as Vice-Chairman and Mr M Dale was re-appointed as District Officer.

The Commissioners noted developments with the IDB Review and the passing of the Public Bodies Act. They noted the changes to section 23 of the Land Drainage Act.

The Commissioners considered that approaches should be made to Benwick IDB to establish whether they wished to proceed with a possible amalgamation.

The Clerk also updated the Commissioners on the Water Framework Directive and spoil disposal.

The Consulting Engineer reported on the drain maintenance works for 2011/2012 and proposals for 2012/2013. The District Officer confirmed that the District system was operating well. The Commissioners also agreed in principle to the installation of telemetry.

The Environmental Officer’s Newsletter was noted and progress in implementing the Commissioners’ BAP discussed. The Commissioners noted the position regarding the unchanged precept figure and the proposed use of precept monies to fund local works and agreed to pay the increased subscription to ADA for 2012.

The payments and accounts were approved.

Approval was given to the Report of the Internal Auditor and the system of Internal Control.

The Commissioners also adopted a policy under the Bribery Act 2010.

The Commissioners authorised Miss S Ablett to appear in court to obtain distress warrants on their behalf.
